AllTheHits 8/31/25 + Tayvis engagement playlist

Well, 2025 is 75% done, and I think it's been the most polarizing year of music. On the one hand, there are the pop fanatics who'll tell you there was "no real song of the summer", and I can't say I disagree with the claim that a lot of the songs that have become huge on the charts in 2025 are certainly not songs that will be remembered in the future. But on the other hand...

Laufey - A Matter Of Time is one of the most gorgeous albums ever. Lyn Lapid - Buzzkill is one of the most relatable albums ever. Benson Boone - American Heart is one of the most over-hated albums ever. Lots of great albums like Conan Gray - Wishbone, Audrey Hobert - Who's The Clown, Sombr - I Barely Know Her, Rosé - Rosie, and Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco - I Said I Love You First, just to name a few. I still somehow have yet to watch Kpop Demon Hunters but the soundtrack is absolutely inescapable. Mitski indirectly returned to music by cowriting a gorgeous new Florence + The Machine song. Sabrina Carpenter had a deluxe edition of Short N Sweet, a whole new album, and announced a collab with Taylor Swift. And speaking of Taylor Swift... where do I begin with her?

Taylor finished the Eras Tour, bought her original masters, announced her 12th album on Travis Kelce's podcast, and now... well, unless you live under a rock, you know what happened to her this week. AllTheHits is paired with a Tayvis Engagement Playlist (credits to Bubby for the idea, I tried to mostly use different songs from Bubby's playlist) which is a collection of 13 Taylor songs about love, marriage, football, and three that are believed to actually be about Travis. Congratulations to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, I am still freaking out over this.

One more thing! I added a tab at the top of my blog for my upcoming posts calendar, which you should definitely check out by the way, but in case you haven't seen it... you're getting a double post tomorrow! In the morning, I'll have a 13-song Labor Day playlist, and at night... surprise album review! (No, the surprise album review is not Laufey's A Matter Of Time. I will review that album eventually, and I'm already working on the review in fact, it's just genuinely taking longer to review it since there's so much to unpack in that album. I have already listened to it more than ten times however.)

Anyway, as for this week's AllTheHits, after Laufey impressively held the entire top 16 last week with the release of A Matter Of Time, that reign has been split up a bit by Finneas, the Favors, Lyn Lapid and Chappell Roan making rebounds, but Laufey still managed to hold the entire top 12 which is insane.

AllTheHits 8/17/25 + New Era Mix

Hi! Welcome back to AllTheHits, my 94th post this year, and my first AllTheHits with comments turned off. (I was already certain I wanted to disable comments, but this weekend's Hits 1 post over on Ethan's SiriusXM Hits 1 & Music Blog really reinforced that for me.)

ATH this week was pretty uneventful. There were only two countdown debuts this week, coming from the Favors and Audrey Hobert, and Laufey is still dominating the top four of the chart. However, Almost There had a lot of debuts, and the abyss is now filled with songs from the two big new albums last week, Conan Gray - Wishbone & Audrey Hobert - Who's The Clown. (Next week's AllTheHits is gonna be real fun when A Matter Of Time is released. Considering all four singles released from it are currently charting in the top four spots, there's a possibility that Laufey could have a major Billboard Swift next week, and it'll be a surprise to nobody if Laufey literally takes up half of the chart.)

And one more thing! In honor of Taylor Swift's 12th album The Life Of A Showgirl being officially announced this week and less than seven weeks away, this week's AllTheHits is paired with a playlist of 12 Taylor Swift songs, the New Era Mix - my six favorite songs from the official showgirl playlist, and my six favorite TTPD songs now that the TTPD era is coming to an end. Here it is!

The Kelces' New Heights featuring Taylor Swift + The Life Of A Showgirl info confirmed

Hi! I just watched Taylor Swift's glittery orange special guest appearance on Travis & Jason Kelce's podcast, New Heights, and we got some exciting news.

Taylor discussed numerous topics such as her relationship with Travis, their friends and families, the TS masters purchase, behind the scenes of the Eras Tour (which made me want to rewatch the Eras movie), the end-of-tour Easter eggs, triskaidekaphilia, Taylor's newfound obsession with baking sourdough, and Travis' elaborate plan to save an otter.

And then, the moment we've all been waiting for.

The Life Of A Showgirl.

The Life Of A Showgirl will be released on October 3rd. It will feature 12 songs, all of which are coproduced by Max Martin & Shellback, and Taylor described it has a dramatically joyful exploration of what goes on behind the curtain. Travis said he's heard all 12 songs and they're all bangers, which makes me think there are quite a few love songs about him. (I will do a track-by-track predictions breakdown later this month.) It will also feature a supposedly gorgeous photoshoot by the same photographers as Reputation. This hasn't been confirmed, but I'm hoping she releases a lead single before the album since we haven't gotten an era like that since Lover.

Here is the tracklist:

1. The Fate Of Ophelia

2. Elizabeth Taylor

3. Opalite

4. Father Figure

5. Eldest Daughter

6. Ruin The Friendship

7. Actually Romantic

8. Wi$h Li$t

9. Wood

10. CANCELLED!

11. Honey

12. The Life Of A Showgirl (featuring Sabrina Carpenter)

Super excited (but not surprised) we're finally getting a Taylor/Sabrina collab. More info and predictions to come later!

That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!

The Life Of A Showgirl - proof that clownery can pay off

Hi! Well, today was an... exciting day to say the least. In yesterday's post, I talked about Taylor Nation's suspicious "see you next era" post with 12 images of Taylor's orange outfits on the Eras Tour, followed by a 12:12 AM August 12th countdown over an orange background. Well, as expected, I did what all the Swifties did and waited until 12:12 in hopes of an announcement.

And, well, also as expected, I didn't actually see any announcement until about 12:15 since the Taylor Swift website crashed with all the people looking at it waiting for the announcement.

But then, taylorswift.com finally began to load, and this is what I saw:

Omg the Swifties were actually right. TS12 IS COMINGGGGGGGGGGGG. And it's time for a mega post.

"The Life Of A Showgirl" - everything we know (or hope for) about Taylor Swift's 12th album

Disclaimers: THIS IS NOT HFE94'S VERSION. As of today, "The Life Of A Showgirl" has been officially announced as Taylor Swift's 12th studio album. I know, I can't believe it either.

Also, this post does not contain leaked content. I have avoided leaks as much as possible. Everything you're about to read is either officially announced under Taylor's approval, or my theories/predictions.

Release

Confirmed information - The Life Of A Showgirl will be released on vinyl, cassette, and as a CD paired with a poster, and is already available to "pre-pre-order". The release date has not been announced, but the website says that it will be shipped before October 13th, which means it should release within the next two months. There will likely be multiple vinyl variants - more details about that later.

Theories - There are theories for 8/22 because of the number 22 appearing a lot in promotional content for the album, and I think a lead single on 8/22 is much more likely than a whole album, since Laufey is releasing an album on the 22nd, and Sabrina is releasing an album just a week after. 9/12 is also a common theory since the Taylor Nation post was at 9:12 AM. I'm willing to believe that it's neither of these since release theories are almost never correct.

Visuals

Confirmed information - The color theme of the era is sparkling orange and mint green. Taylor's entire website has been redesigned to match this aesthetic, and all of Taylor's online profile pictures have been changed from the TTPD photo to the picture of a sparkling orange lock over a mint green blurred album cover. The official album cover has not been revealed, but Taylor has been confirmed as the special guest on the Kelce brothers' podcast, New Heights, and a 13-second clip showed her with a mint briefcase with "TS" written in sparkling orange lettering containing the blurred album cover inside. The album cover will be revealed unblurred tomorrow on New Heights.

Theories - The same preview clip from New Heights contained four TS boxes in the background - a red one, an orange one, a purple one, and a white one. These might be vinyl variants exploring different aspects of a performer's life, and could all be symbolic colors in this era. Based on the blurred outline we have of the album cover, it looks to me like a Speak Now-like photo of Taylor spinning around in a green and orange outfit, but obviously we can't tell for certain.

Music

Confirmed information - Well, beyond the release info and general aesthetic, not much else has been "confirmed" about TLOAS yet. (I might make yet another post tomorrow if Taylor makes more notable announcements on New Heights.) However, I think it's important to mention that Taylor has posted a playlist under her official Spotify profile that seems to suggest the general sound of the album will be pop (possibly with some rock influence), as every song in the playlist is either from Red, 1989, or Reputation. As much as I loved the stripped-down indie vibes of Taylor's last four albums, I agree with the fans' general opinion that she's been overdue for a change in direction.

Here is the official 22-song playlist, titled "and baby, that's show business for you", listed using the eras color code and with my 12 personal favorites underlined:

22 - All You Had To Do Was Stay Bad Blood - Blank Space - Dancing With Our Hands Tied - Delicate - Don't Blame Me - End Game - Gorgeous - How You Get The Girl - I Did Something Bad - I Knew You Were Trouble - King Of My Heart - Message In A Bottle - New Romantics - ...Ready For It? - Shake It Off - So It Goes... - Style - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Wildest Dreams - Wonderland

Theories: Many of these were likely not included in the playlist for a specific reason I'll go into more detail about later, but I compiled a list of 12 other songs (since we're just obsessed with that number lately) that I associate with TLOAS based on what we know, also using the eras color code:

A Place In This World - Long Live - The Lucky One - False God - Beautiful Ghosts - The Last Great American Dynasty - Antihero - Bejeweled - Karma - I Can Do It With A Broken Heart - Clara Bow - So High School

Collaborators

As far as collabs go nothing is truly confirmed, but the official playlist is noticeably comprised entirely of songs produced by Max Martin and Shellback. This has led to speculation that this is Taylor hinting at her split from her usual cowriters Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, and that she will be bringing back Max Martin and Shellback, the Swedish songwriting duo who produced many of the iconic songs on Red, 1989, and Reputation, to collaborate with her on TLOAS. Additionally, a Sabrina Carpenter collab is highly anticipated, seeing as the final photo in the Taylor Nation post contains Sabrina in it, and Taylor & Sabrina now have album rollouts around the same time. It is also thought that Taylor could collaborate again with artists who toured with her, such as Gracie Abrams, Phoebe Bridgers, and Haim.

Lyrics

Again, nothing has been officially confirmed for lyrics or even track titles (which may change soon with the New Heights announcement). However, it's likely that this album will explore many aspects of being a performer. Now, I am far from the type of person who wishes any artist would "start making happier music", especially in times when the artist is clearly not happy. (In fact, I'm generally upset by those kinds of comments, as they... well, quite literally contradict the entire point of music as an art form.) However, I will say I genuinely predict this will be a more upbeat, sparkly, glitter gel pen album since this actually seems to be a happy time in Taylor's life in general. Most likely, there will be Travis Kelce love songs, a celebratory song about buying her masters back, a Long Live-type song commemorating the Eras Tour, and maybe some more songs like The Lucky One about the darker side of fame. I know The Last Great American Dynasty is not about a performer, but I would LOVE to have another song with a similar structure, about a historical showgirl who has a connection or impact on Taylor in some way.

Well, we don't know much, but all I can say is... I think it's gonna be great. That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!

Still clowning about TS12...

Hi! (Wow, two posts in one day. I just started this a few minutes ago though since this is so huge.) So after our last post was a bit... less pleasant, I have huge surprise news for all the Swifties reading my blog: TS12 seems to be on the horizon. I know this is super clownish, and Taylor Nation has done some suspicious things that turned out to be complete tricks, but this time I had to say something before it's too late since I truly believe something huge will happen tomorrow.

Earlier today at 9:12, Taylor Nation made a post on Instagram captioned 'Thinking about when she said “See you next era…” ❤️‍🔥' accompanied with 12 images of Taylor Swift wearing orange outfits on the Eras Tour, which led to spiraling theories that TS12 is coming soon, and reinforcing the common theory that TS12 will be the one major remaining color Taylor hasn't themed a whole era around yet.

Then, on taylorswift.com - Taylor Swift's official website and the birthplace of many well-known Easter eggs, a countdown began that will end at 12:12 AM on August 12th, with a sparkling orange backdrop.

(Yes, I intentionally screenshotted it at 58 minutes since 5+8=13.)

Now, I don't think this will be an album release since it would be way too soon, and it's more likely that Taylor would release an album on a Friday. I do think this will be an announcement of TS12 however. As for the release, it's possible that it will be exactly one month from then. The fact that the Taylor Nation post was specifically at 9:12 instead of their usual midnight or noon has led to a theory that September 12th will be the TS12 release date.

Well, we can never know for sure. I was certain about the countdown theory last month to the point where I made another one of these hurried posts as part of my summer special to replace an older Taylor Swift-themed post I had planned, and that turned out to be a trick. However, I don't know what else "see you next era" with 12 orange outfits on the same day as a big sparkling orange countdown to 12:12 on the 12th taking up Taylor's ENTIRE official website could mean. I don't think this is clownery. I think this has so obviously got to mean something. Taylor knows that if signs this extreme lead to nothing, it will disappoint many of the Swifties. But of course, I am not placing any pressure on her to release new music, as excited as I am for TS12 during this insane time for Taylor. Ultimately, anything can happen, but... one thing, above anything else, seems to be on the horizon.

That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!

No easy way to do this but... I think this is for the best.

I'm turning off comments on my blog. Cue the jeers, but luckily I won't be able to see your complaints because... well, you can't post them.

This honestly won't even change much. I rarely got comments in the first place, and the few I got were about 90% just me making extra announcements which I can make in posts, and 10% occasional song suggestions or inoffensive remarks from other bloggers which we can live without. Most of the general questions or announcements for the whole community, and most of the spam, has always just been under Ethan's blog.

I will also not comment on other blogs anymore, unless I ever have an announcement that involves the community as a whole that I couldn't just post about on my own blog. Really the only situation I think that would truly be the case is if I decided to change my blog URL again, which is unlikely. Yeah, I may be overreacting since I've already been such a "distant" blogger, but I just want to make this final.

Well, why am I doing this now?

...

We've had a sort of rapid "rise and fall" of the Hits 1 blogging community in just a couple weeks. I know these were just basic anonymous comments, but I've actually been thinking really hard about how last week's countdown post on Ethan's SiriusXM Hits 1 & Music Blog had a comment that said "love how active this blogging community is recently", and then this week's post on the same blog said "this community is in shambles and needs to be fixed". I would say it's currently in a state of being both of those things at the same time.

The comments section of Ethan's music blog is very telling of the current state of the infamously chaotic Hits 1 blogging community. Of course, a majority of it is still the relatively harmless trolling, like people spamming comments claiming to be "Sabrina Carpenter" and whatnot.  That's been going on for a long time and I don't really mind that, as long as it doesn't go out of hand. But there's also a bit of drama going on between bloggers, who as far as I'm aware don't even know each other in real life. I won't say any names here, but if you're reading this as a H1BC member, you probably know what I'm talking about. And I know I'm probably slightly misinterpreting what's going on since I'm very much on the outside of it all, but I want to stay out of drama as well as I can. I felt as if turning off comments would be best considering the current state of the community.

...

...so here's the thing I'm trying to get across. To be quite honest, I kinda want to be my own separate thing from the "Hits 1 blogging community". I'd be fine with having my blog linked on Hits 1 blog sidebars just to help with pageviews, and I might still submit to... whatever events or games are held by H1BC members, which are few and far between now that it's become increasingly common for bloggers such as myself to opt out of using Discord. I just don't want to be associated with something that's "in shambles" or seem like I'm somehow a part of a feud.

I know that this is somewhat of a risky move, but don't take it the wrong way please. I'm not saying the H1BC is an inherently negative or hateful community or that I am personally on bad terms with anyone within it, and I really don't want this to be my downfall as a blogger. The whole point is I really want to stay neutral. If this ever escalates to a point where it's affecting my mental health and I feel like I need to go on indefinite hiatus, so be it. For now, I'll blog for fun, comment-free, under an anonymous title, pleasantly sharing my favorite music, but I won't consider myself within the H1BC. I mean, I've literally only made one Hits 1 post in the past half-year so I was already not really a Hits 1 blogger. I'm an AllTheHits blogger and that feels better to me.

Oh yeah, also for that very reason, I'm discontinuing the Blogger Top Ten. Literally after one installment. Yes, I know you're all getting deja vu to the 2024 days when I couldn't hold up a regular series for the life of me, but now you can't come at me for it. I was actually already considering that since I'll soon have even less time for posting. But I really liked the concept so I'll gladly support if anyone in the H1BC wants to pick up the series where I left off.

Again, don't take this the wrong way. That's all for now.

AllTheHits 8/10/25 + announcements

Hi! So, I have a lot of things to get out of the way.

  • First of all, there's the obvious - my new blog URL. I would love for this to replace the old one on whichever blog sidebars have mine listed.
  • Secondly, I made some new additions to AllTheHits. One is the Nebula. Essentially, it's the same thing as the light pink songs in the abyss (songs that would be in high rotation on AllTheHits but are ineligible for the charts that are being specifically highlighted for other reasons), but I made them into their own entirely separate thing. I debated having it replace the abyss, but the abyss will still exist, mostly for when an album comes out and I can't fit all the songs in AT & HFE30.
  • You also may notice that some of the HFE30 songs are colored gold now? Well, these are songs that have been charting for at least 13 weeks and have peaked within the top 3. These will be considered gold songs, so whenever they leave the chart, even if it's before the one-year cutoff, they'll immediately enter the AllTheHits recurrents page (unless they significantly fade on me within that time, which for the most part is unlikely). By the way, I don't think anyone has noticed the new recurrents page I added! It's linked under the "AllTheHits: My Own 'Radio Station'" tab.
  • I am, at least temporarily, discontinuing the Starlight Seven. It was easily the most tedious segment to make and was generally not very interesting to keep track of.
  • And finally... I will have a "surprise post" coming tomorrow that... may not be the most fun. You'll see.

Anyway, AllTheHits was pretty inactive this week aside from a few big things. Laufey is now pulling a Billboard Swift in which the entire top 5 on my chart is Laufey's 5 eligible songs, including this week's new release amazingly debuting at #3. This week also saw new debuts from Haim and Audrey Hobert, and after his live performance on Austin City Limits in support of public television, Finneas makes a grand return to the top 10. There were not many debuts in Almost There this week, but one of them will come as a surprise to some people - it's a random six-month-old "where-did-they-find-this" Hits 1 song that I just recently listened to again and is just now clicking with me.

Well, here is this week's AllTheHits!

Blogger Top Ten Intro

Hi! Welcome to my brand new series that will occur every other Wednesday! Wait... am I reading this right? I posted AllTheHits and the summer special announcement at the end of June, I did posts every day in July for the summer special, and then I had my name change announcement, monthly outline, AllTheHits, about my blog, recurrents page, and now this post. This means I've had a 39-day streak of consecutive posts. Considering I only had 41 total posts in the entire year of 2024, that's insane.

Anyway, this is a series that will hopefully last a while, and should develop a bit better in the future. This is the Blogger Top Ten! Basically, it's a collection of ten songs approximately compiled by how much the Hits 1/pop music blogging community collectively seems to enjoy them. I tried not to let my personal preference influence this, but... right now it's very much estimated. If I have the time and motivation, I might find a way to make this more "objective" or data-based and less biased, but for now... enjoy the first installment in the Blogger Top Ten!

Oh, and one final thing. In case you couldn't tell, I used the standard color code based on my personal opinions on the songs. Anyway, here it is!

#10: Jessie Murph - 1965

#9: Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not

#8: AJR - Betty

#7: Role Model - Sally, When The Wine Runs Out

#6: Chappell Roan - The Subway

#5: Laufey - Tough Luck

#4: Sombr - Back To Friends

#3: Sombr - We Never Dated

#2: Blackpink - Jump

#1: Laufey - Lover Girl

Well, let me know how accurate you think this is, and any improvements I can make.

(Edit: thank you Bubby for continuing my series.)

That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!

AllTheHits 8/3/25

Hi everyone, this is HFE94 officially! Welcome to the first AllTheHits of August and first post with its official new name! Throughout August I will be making these small changes throughout the blog. Anyway, this week was pretty uneventful. This week's HitsForEvermore 30 gave us a Lady Gaga song I was a bit late to pick up on, a rising hit from one of my strongest predictions of artists who will blow up in the next few years, and one song skipping Almost There and debuting in the top 10. Almost There however was pretty dry this week with just five debuts and one re-entry. Anyway, let's get into it!

New addition! Light pink signifies songs that are ineligible for HFE30 or AT due to time cutoff (unless they get further chart resurgence) that are being highlighted in the abyss for other reasons.

Also, I really want to come up with a better name for the abyss. I've always hated that it's called that because it's so misleading. Any suggestions?

That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!

[Summer Special Bonus] The new era begins now.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...soooooooo I have a lot of announcements to get out of the way.

  • First and foremost, there was a big and obvious change. I've changed my blog name yet again. It is now called HitsForEvermore: My Music Blog, and I will be using the name HFE94 on the site from now on. To be quite honest, I want everyone to refer to me as HFE94 from now forward (it's way easier to spell anyway lol). And yes I know that HFE also means hybrid forward emitter, so I hope everyone is okay with amplification of currents or whatever, I don't know how that stuff works. I'm probably not changing my blog URL though since that would mean everyone else would have to change the link on their sidebars and it would become more complicated.
  • My personal chart/bloggio station will now be called AllTheHits. (Wow, what a riveting name.) Blogging-wise I will be spending most of the month of August making small changes to reflect these large shifts.
  • I will be working on my ATH stats pages all throughout August and will ideally have those up-to-date before September and start updating them much more regularly.
  • Next Wednesday, I will be introducing a new biweekly series to accompany ATH that will occur every other Wednesday, at least for now. You'll see what it is when I start. It might not last long but hopefully it can.
That's all for now! Byeeeeeeeeee!
